Date of Hike
Date of Hike: Sunday, July 12, 2026
Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Parked off the side of the road at Pine Bend Brook. Would have parked at Sabbaday, but didn't have a new, valid WMNF sticker (mine expired in June). Road walk back to the car at the end of the hike was easy.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All crossings were easy to rock hop with a little care. A few crossings on Sabbaday where a tiny bit of water came up over the tops of the boots, but nothing major.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes:
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw one doggo out having a great day.
Bugs
Bugs: No major issues. Some small annoying ones as you got closer to the water crossings on Sabbaday, but not worth putting on bug spray.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Picked up some trash, but didn't get all of it. It's mostly on Sabbaday Brook Trail.

Comments
Comments: Nothing crazy to report here. Didn't see nearly as many people on the trail as you might expect for a beautiful Sunday in the summer. Trail was dry overall with a few muddy spots that you could walk right through.
