 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
There were quite a few cars at the depot near the Highland Center and along the road at 8am, and more late afternoon. At 4pm, the parking area at the end of Willey House Station Rd had a few vehicles. |

 | Water Crossing Notes: |
There was very little water flowing, so the crossings were super easy. |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Most everything on the route is in good shape. Of usual note are the short stretches of loose rock heading southward off Field and the deteriorating ladders near the bottom of the steep mile off Willey. The steeper of those ladders are best taken by backing down them, much as one would down a ladder up against a house. Some steps have been missing for a long time. |
|
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
I saw one (Molly), very friendly and energetic, thrilled to be there and with people. After the small drainage crossing above the Avalon/A-Z junction, there isn't much water for a dog on the traverse until about off the steep one mile descent from Willey. |
|
 | Bugs: |
None that I saw. I forgot any bug juice and didn't think about it all day. |

 | Comments: |
Nice outing of the OTHH. A pair of our group got a bit ahead of the rest of us at the bottom of that steep descent off Willey. At the trail sign for the Kedron Flume trail, they took that by mistake. Their vehicle was the one we dropped at the end of Willey House Station Rd in the morning, so the rest of us just waited at that lower trailhead while the other two walked the mile down rte 302 and up to where we waited. |
