Comments
Comments: Osceola was the choice today because of the AMC awards banquet. Greely Pond is mostly dry with a couple icy spots. Mt Osceola trail to East Osceola was smooth going early with a nice packed track. Met up with Bruce and had a pleasant conversation.

The chimney was icy but fun to climb as always. Others used the side trail which was in good shape early. The ascent from there to Osceola was smooth going. Nice packed track to the summit. After 30 minutes at the summit the conditions softened drastically.
The remainder of the trip was a spring snow extravaganza. Slushy, wet, and sticky. Passed a few others going up East. I barebooted all day but everyone else I saw used a mix of micros, hillsounds, and crampons. Lots of people on the trail today as it was a great day to be out. Great hike with Mike,TinTin, Disco, and John.

Congratulations to all the finishers at the Banquet and those who couldn't attend
