Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: There were a handful of crossings but not an issue. I could imagine with higher water levels or snowmelt, they'd be more challenging.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trail is in good condition though with a few grassy spots growing on edge of trail. There were some muddy spots but not an issue all-in-all.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes:
Bugs
Bugs: Black flies were pesky at the top, not helped by the calm winds for sure.

Comments
Comments: This hike has nice, steady grades the whole way. Views at the top are excellent in most directions. Although not the easiest 52WAV hike, the steady grades make this quite nice. See more about New Hampshire hikes on www.summitsmarts.com
