Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: There were 2 cars in the lot when I arrived and about 10 when I finished. There was still room in the parking lot upon my return.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Even with last night's rain, all were easy rock hops. The Little River was flowing but didn't seem noticeably higher than it was last Saturday.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Both trails are in really nice shape. A few step overs on Fire Warden's but even us short folks won't find them challenging.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: This would be a great hike for doggos. It was my own dog's very first 4K. :)
Bugs
Bugs: Not bad in the morning but as the day warmed up the black flies and gnats showed up.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Nothing lost and nothing found.

Comments
Comments: I was hoping Scott had left me a pizza on the summit since he was out yesterday so I started nice and early to go in search of it. The North Twin trail was muddy from the rain and the usual spots had some running water but things were in nice shape. The rocks on both trails were wet from the rain and the humidity kept them from drying out. All the roots were slick as well so I was cautious descending. Sadly, there was no pizza but I had the summit to myself and there was a nice breeze in several spots along the way which I took full advantage of. I made it home nice and early and since I got no summit pizza, I was home in time to make my own pizza dough for a bacon, onion, tomato, and mushroom pizza. Life is very good.
