Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Parked at the logging landing at about 1600 ft. Road was in great shape and actually improved after the split around 1450. There is a bunch of logging activity now yet showing on my satellite imagery. You can see a road continuing NE past the landing, but no vehicle is driving that.

Comments
Comments: We followed the wet logging road up to the SE spine and set off into the woods. 1st part of the woods were pretty nice, but then it got thick and steep and bouldery/cliffy. We ended up going a bit to the east around 2250 to avoid the worst of it, but this was not a pleasant route in general. Took 30 mins to get from 2100->2500ft. At the summit, I saw what looked like herd paths heading towards the western approach, which made me question my choice of route - oh well, this side was certainly less driving!

Coming down we veered off the spine to the west around 2200 and took a pretty direct line back to the car, which seemed to skip some of the unpleasant stuff from the ascent and eventually hit the new clear cut, which had a few short slashy stretches, but was otherwise lovely as not much has regrown here yet. If I were doing this again, I would ascend this route.

70 mins up, 40 mins down.
