A dozen or so blowdowns. Some big, some small. That nasty, gnarly mess of trees before the last push to the summit of Moriah is still there but easy to navigate under. |

Started coming out when the sun made an appearance. |

If you like snakes, check out the ledges near Mt. Surprise right after the sun comes out after a rainstorm. I do not so I still am shocked by the scene.
Ledges were slippery but some were starting to dry out when sun came out and wind picked up. Some spots where you have to navigate with rocks and logs or you’ll end up probably losing a shoe.
No views early this morning but it looks like the hikers going up a bit later this morning are going to get one! |
