Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Lot full as of 11am on a Thursday. Parked on the deep shoulder on Mt Clinton Rd opposite trailhead driveway. A few more did the same after me.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The low crossing was an easy rock hop, albeit over wet rocks. Higher up around ~ mile 2.5 the drainages and seeps make for a little splashing but not a big problem.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: In good shape :)
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Darby rates this trail two paws up for dogs. A little talus to navigate once you break out from the trees up high, but its a short span and flat with well-placed rocks.
Bugs
Bugs: Yes. Black flies nibbling at all elevations, we kept up the pace and mostly evaded them but during stops they got annoying. Even with some breeze, the summit itself has swarms of club horned sawfly, they look scary but are harmless.

Comments
Comments: Edmands Path to the loop trail and summit, out and back. The canine and I reported for duty today as the new Edmands Path adopters. Other than sticks and branches at lower elevations (easily cleared), the trail is in great shape. Stream flows were nominal today so the crossing was no big deal. There are both wet/moist and muddy sections, some would say greasy. Standard stuff. A great day to get up there before the Friday precip.
