Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Percy Peaks Trail nicely maintained with orange blazes. Couple of blowdowns; several seemed to be older. Also multiple blowdowns on the Percy Loop Trail, mostly step overs but there is a new one with multiple branches about 1/4th mile from the road that needs clearing; overall the PLT needs brushing.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Cody had a blast completing his 27/52(51) WAV. Trails are quite manageable for most hiking pups. Several flowing water streams on or adjacent to the trails available to provide the thirsty pup with water, or a good cooling off/lounging spot. I think the pups do better on the ledges than their 2 footed companions.
Bugs
Bugs: We became a feast for the bugs once stopped on the summit, bug nets all around. So annoying.

Comments
Comments: Nice hike for Cody's 52WAV. Trails were overall in great shape. Partly cloudy skies still offered great views of the familiar northern peaks; could see the windmills on Dixville and Kelsey, and Mt Washington from the summit and lots more. Sprinkles while on summit and on way down, but very isolated. PLT was a lovely peaceful walk in the forest, just gorgeous.
