There were about 5 cars in the lot when I started. The lot was full upon my return. |

|

 | Water Crossing Notes: |
All easy rock hops |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
I found a few step over blowdowns on Fishin Jimmy but all other trails are nice and clear. The new boardwalks heading to the but are chef's kiss good! |
|
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
I saw 3 good doggos heading up Lonesome Lake trail. No puppers seen further up. This trek requires some definite scrambling and a fair amount of wet slick slabby sections all of which could be tricky for less experienced dogs. |

 | Comments: |
I had hoped for slightly drier trails but did not get them. The trek to the hut was wet with some muddy areas. Cascade Brook trail has some impressive mud pits. Fishin Jimmy was very wet with plenty of muddy sections. All the rocks were wet and slick as were the wooden steps. I just used caution and was fine. Kinsman Ridge Trail was equally wet with wet rocks and some muddy stretches. Just take your time and watch your footing. There are plenty of areas to stop and filter water if needed. The skies cleared as I was headed up the South peak and stayed clear so I had a lovely lunch spot on the viewpoint off the North peak on my way back. This was a most excellent day and was far better than sitting on the couch. :) |
