Drove 1.6 mile up Mill Brook Road from 110 in Stark.
Parked opposite the entrance to Pucci Road. There is a good pull-out with room for 3-4 cars. |

Walked Pucci Road to its end. It is drivable - with caution and high clearance. It is muddy with many protruding rocks and gets increasingly overgrown. Easy to walk. There are 3 structures early - one has signage for "Mill Mountain Fish&Game Club" - and 2 campers at the end which looks like they have not seen action for a decade.
Entered the woods after the last camper heading NNW straight for the peak - and catching the SW Ridge about 1/4 mile from the summit. Open woods all the way. No cliffbands. Moose-trail along the ridge.
Content of the jar at the summit was scrap-notes and trash. All wet. Replaced it all - including the jar. It is easy to locate - placed right next to one of the foundation pillars for the old fire tower. |
