Comments
Comments: Hiked the Franconia Ridge ending with the old Osseo Trail down to the kanc. Finding the trail off of the new Osseo Trail was not easy and would have missed it without GPS guidance. Once on the trail it was fairly easy to follow but not blazed at all. About a dozen blowdowns blocking the trail southbound to whale back but all easy to get around. Blow wilbach the trail appears to get much more use and is intermittently blazed with yellow. Only a few minor blow Downs to deal with. The trail is very steep in places and significantly litter made footing questionable at times in the dry. Could be quite slippery in the wet. About a mile down from whale back the trail joins an old stream and there was quite a bit of mud that was not avoidable. Two more water Crossings were easy to navigate after that The Closer you get to the condo development the better the trail is.
