Followed a similar route as tealgoat and cookiesontop, which worked great - thanks for the intel!
Couple things to add:
- There's a lovely fern swath WNS of the summit visible as a break in the trees on satellite. This is your friend - find it. Woods are good other than the summit area.
- tealgoat and cookiesontop placed a second jar. The original jar is still there apparently to the east of their jar (which I didn't find, but others in the main jar references as being west of there). I found this by getting on one of the rocky bumps on the summit area and seeing a single unusually high tree to the east and heading that way. Took me about 10 mins on the summit area to find the jar. It was the 3rd or 4th rocky clearing I checked out.
30 mins up, 10 at the summit, 25 mins down. |
