Parking/Access Road Notes: Parking lot is at the start of Sawyer River Rd. Only one other car there around 8am, and a few more in the afternoon, but still plenty of room.

Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Mud - Significant

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: I was a bit worried due to the time of year, but it wasn't bad. With some effort I was able to find a way across without getting my feet too wet. 
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Several blown-downs that can be stepped over, and one that had to be ducked under. 
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Didn't see any dogs, but I think they'd be fine on this trail.

Bugs: Some, but not terrible.

Comments: Nice day for this hike! If you haven't heard, the round trip is now 4 miles longer due to the road being closed. (Rumor has it the closing might be permanent.) A few muddy spots but mostly dry trail.
