The hike in was absolutely effortless. We did put on our micros after 1/2 mile or so when we started noticing a more obvious monorail. The ice going up to the southern hancock was there, but it was manageable with micros. The monorail was more obvious as the elevation rose. We went up and over both mtns and took the loop back. Going down the mtns was easy partly because the sun burned off the major monorail. It was a pretty simple loop . Just the elevation going up was unrelenting but invigorating. |
