Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: The ever-lovely parking lot was up to its high standards. Outhouse in excellent condition. Fee area. Thanks for this lot!
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Standing/Running Water on Trail
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Either bridged (Livermore Trail) or tiny step overs.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Everyone involved in this should get a prize, including whoever pulled that large blowdown on Livermore off to the side. It was there on the way in, a few hours later it had been moved to the side. I had read and saw the photos of the work WVAIA has recently done (on Steve Smith's blog a few days ago). This is at the beginning of the kettles Path, which was prone to excessive water. Even if you don't want to go to the Scaur, you should take a peek if you're in the area. Many thanks to WVAIA, Steve, and other people who care for these areas.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Great area for dogs. Big thanks to those owners who don't "bag it and leave it."
Bugs
Bugs: On a scale from 1 to 10 in annoyance, a 4. Breeze kept them at bay, when it didn't, they made use of the opportunity. Bring your dope and your hst.

Comments
Comments: Flower show. Bluets near the outhouse. Painted trillium along the way. Half way up the kettles path, Prema saw one with four petals. Legitimately four, because it had the four accompanying leaves.

Great views from the Scaur places had minor mud, running water on trail. There is a small slippery area descending into the Flume. Flume was gorgeous. A little snow under rocks here and there. Much cooler. Plants are a couple weeks behind schedule compared to the other places.
