Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Parking lot with picnic table and trail kiosk plus interesting information about the original owner at top of Hutchins Hill Rd in Alexandria. Caution - road is best with 4WD. I hate to say this but the area is kinda sketchy with lots of old cars and car parts lining the road. When we were driving back down the hill, a random wheel rolled across the road in front of us crossing the road and ending in a small ditch. I am not sure what was going on but we just smiled and waved at the people who lived there....

Comments
Comments: Needed a quick hike and forgot how neat this area is. We did the perimeter of the big lot (the big square), checked out the old cabin site, and then did an out-and-back to visit the Pitman Path. Didn't see anyone. Trees just budding; footbed spongy - it doesn't see much use.
