Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment: Light Traction
Water Crossing Notes

Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Couple of blowdowns on Fishin Jimmy, nothing too problematic. The KRT up and over the summits is just continuing to erode into the woods as people find the best way they can on the wonky slabs. The new boardwalk on Lonesome Lake is snazzy.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Jackson would not have appreciated the weather, muddy paws, not being invited into the hut, etc etc…also he is headed to Mass to see his grandparents.
Bugs
Bugs: Nada
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Nothing exciting.

Comments
Comments: Midweek adventure with Fyvie, post office kinda day (nor rain, nor sleet, nor snow…). There’s monorail on and off in some random places starting on the boardwalk. Monorail is generally supportive but also tricky/icy/angled in certain areas. We carried spikes but didn’t use them. The rocks on Effin Jimmy were generally more grippy than slippy but ymmv. Kinsman Ridge Trail has random ice in some tricky spots. Stay frosty up there or you might go for an unpleasant ride.
