Comments
Comments: Bare wet ground and snow covered bare ground mostly today, a couple inches of wettish stuff up high. Some prehistoric monorail only on top of Carter Dome for bit. The steep stuff down to the hut (sobo) was snow on top of bare ground (rocks) - all good with mindful seamanship. Fresh trail runners with waterproof socks door to door, micros stayed buried deep in the pack. Lightning Bug had no issues and was happy to put in a full days hike without wearing booties. A very wet day - basically rocked the rain gear until the run out 19 back to the truck. The sun did poke through the cloud cover just enough to realize how much cloud cover there was. No post holes, no snowshoes going for a ride . . . onwards!
