Date of Hike: Tuesday, April 28, 2026
Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: The parking area at the top of the lots for the Flume is quite large. This being midweek, off-season, there weren't that many cars there at the start or end.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Wet Trail
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Minor drainage streams were no problem.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trail is in decent shape and easy to follow. I saw three low-lying old blowdowns across the trail, easy step-overs. The blue blazes on trees looked good, but the trail is so easy to follow that the blazes weren't needed at this time of year.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw three (two large, one very small), all well-behaved.
Bugs
Bugs: Not yet.

Comments
Comments: Very nice, cool, clear, dry day for this hike with the OTHH. We were a large group, and we used both trails up.
