Comments
Comments: Old Bridal Path has some nice patches of ice on it below and along Agony Ridge. We didn't put microspikes on until the hut but they could have been worn earlier. Caution should be taken if you choose not to wear the spikes. The trail from the hut until treeline is packed powder with a few patches of ice.

Above treeline, trail was mostly packed powder with bare rock. There were a few areas of drifted snow between Lafayette and Lincoln but they weren't an issue. We took the spikes off from Lincoln to Haystack.

Coming down Falling Waters I would definitely recommend some form of traction. There was a lot of ice and quite a few people sliding their way up and down the trail. We had no problems with traction on. The Falling Waters Trail has patches of ice and rock down low so it was a toss up about keeping the spikes on. Careful footing was required in areas without the spikes on. Overall it was an excellent day with an excellent group. Lots of people out today on the ridge.
