Gorgeous Spring day & PERFECT trail conditions. Get out there and enjoy it!
Barely a sign of Winter until ~3k feet, then some ice & snow, but all packed down tightly. I barebooted to the Kinsman Ridge junction, but spikes would be better for the final ascent.
Spikes were needed for the final climb to North Kinsman, as it's quite icy & steep in sections. Between the peaks, back to mostly bare rock, then back to snow/ice again for the final push to South Kinsman. Couldn't ask for better conditions in Spring.
