All three major crossing could be rock hopped, although I got my feet wet in 2 of the 3. |

Big, new blow down on Lincoln Woods just after the Osseo split.
Other blow downs throughout Black Pond and Lincoln Brook, but none clogging things up too much. |

Bare booted the whole trip, although spikes were probably a better choice for parts of Brutus and the final push up to Owl's Head. There is every trail conditional imaginable except for deep snow - dry, muddy, icy, 1" deep slush puppy snow, etc.
Crossings were ok but take some skill if you want to keep your feet dry.
Overall, not half bad conditions for April, but you're probably going to get your feet wet at some point. |
