arrived on the west ridge near the summit just as the sun was setting over Vermont's green mountains. Had great views of Okemo and Killington. Magnificent!! We arrived on the peak as any ambient light diminished. Wind was fierce (50+ mph) and cold. A brilliant nearly full moon peaked out from behind the clouds to aid our headlamps on the decent. Great night hike with Mike to one of my favorite NH peaks!! |
