| Comments: |
Hiking up the ski trails to the hiking trail vista - snowmaking trails still had large patches of spring snow, but the final ski trail before the vista (normally pretty mucky this time of year) was fairly dry.
Put on the spikes as soon as I set foot on the hiking trail - patchy ice first, then increasing monorail. Rocks are exposed, but there's still enough nice that barebooting would be pretty tricky. Sosman Trail also needed Microspikes until on the flats.
One can get most of the way down the ski area on snow still. |
