Comments
Comments: Upper Garfield trail has fresh snow mixed with ice, running water and many rocky sections. Barebooting was easiest for me. Microspikes were nice for the steep parts of the Garfield Ridge trail although it is mostly covered with 4+ inches of fresh snow over a solid monorail. It got too sticky for microspikes on the Gale River trail and I took them off after the first steep descent.
