Comments
Comments: Microspikes to start the trail with patches of packed ice in the middle of the trail. Water crossings are passable with some rock hopping. Trail is covered with a sheet of slippery ice at higher elevator, we switched to crampons and ice axe. Strong wind gusts (90mph) above tree line. We took a break in the basement of Lake of the Clouds Hut and turned back.

We followed the old Ammonoosuc ravine trail from the start, attempted to look for the new trail but couldn't find it. On our way back, AllTrails led us to the new trail which is not well marked at all, with a lot of switch backs and a down tree blocking the trail.
