Terrific afternoon after a very short paddle on the Pemi Bristol in the am. Terrific time. Was afraid of snow in the swampy area but there wasn't more than a few hundred feet - obvious moose tracks which were very cool. Terrific views from just below summit. Gorgeous mossy/rocky/soft trail bed. Surprised to see someone else descending as we descended. I almost never see anyone on this trail. Spent a bit of time enjoying the frog noises from the vernal pools. Very neat. |
