Comments
Comments: Zealand Road is still closed, but mostly bare with minimal snow dusting in a few spots. The 2.5 miles to the trail were a breeze. Hale Brook Trail was in good shape with very little mud and water and just a dusting of snow in some areas up to around 3000'. After that a stable but deteriorating monorail led us to the summit. Bare booted the entire ascent, wore micro spikes down to approx 2000' A great way to spend a spend a sunny Sunday morning. Saw no one else until almost back to Parking lot.
