Comments
Comments: Drying out nicely. Some thick ice patches on Clark trail, easily stepped around. On Manning Trail, a tricky ice section as you re-enter the woods coming off Firescrew. You can bypass it with some difficulty. Above treeline, mainly dry rock everywhere. Bare-booted all day. Quite windy on Cardigan summit, 25-30 mph made the 40F temp feel colder. Blue skies, very few hikers out. Great to be back home on one of the first mountains I ever climbed, in 1968.
