parked in lot off the road (NOTE: no roadside parking - gate was open for sugarhouse). Lot was icy/muddy and road was almost decent for Prius parking (low clearance, FWD) |

very large fir across trail about a half mile up - must have fallen after snow machine season as the snow machine tracks in the remaining snow were obvious under the fallen tree |

Terrific quick afternoon trail run after super fun kayak run of the Pemi Woodstock section. Trail was mixture of ice/frozen, with spongy bare spots between. Honestly was easier traveling on the ice/snow. Carried traction but didn't need it. Just have to be super-careful about slipping. Pond was still iced-in but edges were melting fast. Super pretty as always. Woods were beautiful. |
