 | Comments: |
Some ice in the flats down low, but otherwise this out-and-back route was almost snow/ice free (one small patch in the shade below the junction). I suspect Middle Mountain still has snow/ice due to the north-facing ascent (could see snow in the woods from Peaked). Some muck, but not too bad.
Snowshoes and traction will be superfluous on this route from here on out unless we get some sort of frozen precip event. North-facing trails nearby may still be another story for now.
This route is now just under 2 miles after a recent relo on the Peaked Mountain Trail, which adds a viewpoint.
Beautiful bluebird spring day with temperatures in the 50s and a slight breeze. |
