Even though it was rainy, I felt like a hike in the woods. So I hiked to the Lonesome Lake Hut. I wore my Hillsound spikes the entire hike. The trail was well packed out with occasional patches of ice, nothing my spikes couldn't handle. I was hoping to hike all the way around the lake, but the less traveled All Around the Lake Trail was softer and I didn't want to posthole. So I enjoyed a warm bowl of soup in the hut and then hiked back down. With the rain and fog, there were no views. |
