 | Comments: |
I took a bearing and headed straight up through logging cuts and open woods, angling across some small drainages. Soon the windmills came into sight. The logging regrowth got tighter at the top, a bit whippy slapping me in the face. The summit windmill and jar is just up the road from the windmill that was my bearing most of the way up. Great views from the top. The hike was about 3 miles total and I stayed in bare boots with the frozen snowpack. There was about 6 inches still so you might benefit from snowshoes as it softens. |
