 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
The parking area before the gate is blocked by a frozen snow pile. I parked 0.3 miles up the road at McVetty Trails lot and walked down 118 to access the trailhead. |

 | Water Crossing Notes: |
All crossings easily managed with some planning. |

 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trail needs brushing as it starts to climb and side hills around Whitcher Hill. Multiple blowdowns that need to be cleared, none too big, a couple messy tangles required walking around. |

 | Comments: |
I'd been meaning to walk on Foxglove Pond all winter and craved the solitude of this quiet, and beautiful trail. Snow levels were trace/spotty down low, but around 1900' transitioned to a consistent, dense, hard snowpack with an icy crust. Barebooted down low, snowshoed up high. The bog was still frozen except for a stream that is opening in the middle. Great way to visit and enjoy the view. |
