Comments
Comments: Snow shoes door to door. No other way to go. 4-5 inches at the road with increasing amounts to 6,8 and maybe even 12 inches in drifts. Broke trail and had no trouble following the monorail underneath. The new snow filled in just about everything leaving ideal conditions to cut trail. Couldn't find the second large water crossing heading up to the spur. Thanks to Nate who was right behind me and happens to maintain this trail head, he lead the way. We took turns breaking trail to the spur trail. We had a nice chat said our good byes and I continued up to Tom and he wandered off into the wilderness working on a 500 peak something or other. Passed a dozen or so folks on my way down. Most in SShoes. Fast and easy coming down even where the bare booters churned up the trail. No views at the summit. Enjoy the second winter.
