After the freeze thaw cycles, and with new snow, the trail has a thick layer of ice. Most people were in microspikes, but I chose to switch to full crampons and I was so glad that I was carrying them!
The summit had very little ice to grip into, but wasn't an issue at all.
The monorail is very narrow, and there are tons of deep postholes on either side, but with the cold temps everything was very stable today |
