Large duck under a few tenths above the kiosk/old chain. Stepover before the long switchback. Widowmaker just below. |

Sunbaked trail is close to 50/50 melted. Still icy in the gully above the bridge. Some patchy blue ice a few tenths above there, transitioning to consistent blue ice/ice monorail/frozen granular on the upper half or so. Microspikes didn't grip too well on a few of the pitches. Not enough snow on this trail to justify snowshoes moving forward absent a moderate snowfall. Patchy snow visible in the woods, but can't speak for the other faces of this mountain.
Sunny late afternoon with temperatures staying below freezing. Lakes still look fairly frozen even after Monday's deluge. |
