Comments
Comments: Road walk is a mix of dirt and thin snow and ice, easy to spike or bareboot.

First 2.5 of Mount Garfield Trail has low snow cover, open spots, standing water, leaves, rocks and roots. The higher up you go the snow cover increases but the trail is a very bumpy ride. Snow is firm but unfortunately is littered with postholes, some were obvious while others were hidden from Saturday nights fresh snowfall. Made for slow going. Garfield Ridge Trail to the summit was in a little better shape and easier to navigate but still had postholes lurking here and there. There were five others out and about, hopefully our path will help you avoid any booby traps.

Bring your rock spikes.

Nice day out on quiet trails. No wind and good views from the summit.
