Comments
Comments: After snowshoeing up Cabot in the morning, I did a quick trip up Waumbek before driving home. I put on spikes just past the intersection on Starr King Rd and kept them on until returning to that point. There was no need for snowshoes as of today (though that would likely change with the warm temps at the beginning of this week). There were only a couple inches of snow at the base that were already starting to melt on my return trip, along with some icy patches here and there where I got good grip. As the snow depth increased, there was much less ice and conditions improved significantly. In the softwoods up high, there are some stretches of monorail starting to show but overall it wasn't anything too frustrating.

I still got some great views of the Northern Presis from the summit of Starr King and Waumbek at around 2:45-3, but by the time I was down, they were starting to disappear into the clouds.
