Date of Hike: Sunday, March 15, 2026
Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Parked ~100 yds down the road from the main lot at the gate where the road widens a bit. The later you show up, the farther down the road you park until ~1pm when people start leaving. There are a few ruts on the way in but they were frozen solid and my Honda Fit had no troubles. If it melts and the ground softens, you might want a little more clearance.

Comments
Comments: Microspikes start to finish. There is 1-2" of new snow, but with 30-40 hikers today it is pretty broken in. (Congrats to the people finishing their SSW48!)Above treeline there is a little more new snow and it is a bit churned but nothing major. Very little ice and had a fun run down. There is a lot of snow in the last half mile to the treeline...and the improvement in the views which are normally blocked by the scrub is very apparent.
