Comments
Comments: A hard freeze after a long thaw allowed me to cruise over these 5 peaks. A 30 mile lollipop loop overnight with my sled. Flying down the hills on the icy trail. An inch or less of snow fell overnight, and the groomer and a few sleds were out in the morning. A few bare patches but mostly still intact base for riding. Plenty of base in the woods, 1-2 feet but hard to tell because it’s so solid, however the moose postholes were a clue. I had several moose encounters on the whack. It was thick traversing from the Crystal with the tower over to NW Crystal, but otherwise great woods. A rogue snowmobile had been all over Blue Ridge almost to the summits. The South peak had one half page left in the original 1987 log book, so I was able to sign in.
