My apologies to the admin. My fatigue from the day didn't allow me to see that I had posted this as a Vermont report. I assume they'll delete it, so posting here. Ugh! My apologies! As Chef's report details, the posthole party was clearly held on the Old Bridle Path. Wore spikes in the AM as the spine held up nicely in the chill and switched to snowshoes shortly after Greenleaf hut on the way back, but there was no grooming the trail possible with them. So many postholes! I did run in to two young men about two miles in, appropriately dressed for gym class, but not winter hiking and I hope they make it out! I encouraged a turn around and they said they would be right behind me, but..... :( |
