It was a gorgeous warm day with temps in the mid 30s to mid 40s. Despite the beautiful day, the trail conditions were a challenge. The warm temps made the snow sticky caused balling on spikes and snowshoes. The three in our group tried each option with much frustration. Barebooting proved to be the most effective but with slipping and sliding. The trees were dripping on is and snow bombs were littering the trail. Good luck. |
