Crowded parking lot at Waterville Ski Area. I had to make 5 rounds to find a spot. I arrived around 11 am. So it's best to arrive early, by 8:30 AM. |

 | Comments: |
The area got 3-5 inches of snow down low and more up high. I was glad to be wearing my snow shoes. The snow was soft due to the warm temps and there were snow drifts along the cone to the peak. Snow was sticky and clinging to my shoes, unavoidable in the warm temps. Trail is still very unconsolidated. So if you head there tomorrow, another warm day, I strongly recommend you wear snow shoes to stamp down the soft snow. A bluebird day with great views from the peak! |
