Trail was a hard packed highway. Bring snowshoes if you like the televators for the steeps but not needed otherwise. We started in spikes and dropped our snowshoes about a mile in and stayed in spikes all day. What a joy!! Testament to people using snowshoes on the unconsolidated snow and soft snow to have made it like this! Kudos as we can all benefit from your efforts! If it stays cold this is as good as it gets. Another benefit of all the snow is the great view into Maine from the old firetower site above the cabin. |
