 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Dowtown Rd is plowed but there is a good snow base. Parking lot is plowed, somewhat. Rd is shared with snowmobiles so I was happy I had legit 4WD for Doetown rd and the parking lot. There were 5 or so cars when I got there after lunch - but there was 1 good spot - I was SO happy it was open. You would have to get creative once lot is full. |

After a super fun morning at Tenney Mountain Resort, I headed to Stinson with the splitboard. I have splitboarded/snowboarded here several times in the past and this was the best of the best in terms of conditions. Lots of snowmobiles on the snowmo trail, so visibility is a must. Everyone Friendly. Snowmobiles made the trail well-groomed, like a ski trail. Quick descent until hiking trail. To speed-check, I used the edge of trail, pulling a lot of snow into the trail. LOts of barebooters/microspikers on the hiking trail and they did sink a bit, but, I filled in a lot with the old snowboard. Super fun!!!! |
