Comments
Comments: Parking at the Basin probably saved a mile and half from the hike instead of parking at the Flume visitor center. The entire route to Flume is nicely packed. Liberty springs is in great shape. Snow shoes still needed as the packed trail
is still a bit soft, and I saw some massive post holes, especially along the edges of the packed trail. The trail between Liberty and Flume is also well packed, but you have to fight through branches spread across the trail due to the high snow pack. This was most pronounced near Liberty. Franconia ridge headed towards Little Haystack was not broken out, and neither was it from Flume headed south. Overall great conditions and a wonderful day to be out!
