Comments
Comments: Beautiful conditions today. Bare booted to trailhead. On trail, one of us stayed in snowshoes the whole way, 2 had spikes the first 2 miles then switched to snowshoes. Trail still unconsolidated above 3000 feet, snowshoes are the way to go.
Also, all those Dr Seuss trees on the top third of the trail are heavy with snow. They’ll be dumping that snow with tomorrows warmer temps. If you’re hiking this weekend, you’ll want a shell with a good (unless you enjoy snow down your back)!
