snowshoes door to door. entire trail is broken out but not well consolidated at all. still very loose and will easily be drifted again if it’s windy at all the next few days. saw many people out, everyone in snowshoes minus two people who felt like they were too cool to wear them and just two people in bareboots completely tore up the trail and made it unpleasant for those of us smart enough to wear them. listen. I’m a runner. I like moving fast. I’ve got a lot of shiny FKTs and strava crowns to prove it. I love when the trails are packed and I can fly on these trails in a way that I could never imagine doing in summer when rocks exist. If I have to wear dumb snowshoes so I don’t ruin the trails for everyone else enjoying them, you should too. |
